About Your Teacher

Meet Charlie,
Your Guitar Teacher

Hi, I’m Charlie. I’ve been helping students learn music in Camarillo since 2005. My lessons are patient, relaxed, and personalized—especially for adults starting for the first time or returning to guitar after years away.

Instead of following a one-size-fits-all curriculum, we’ll build your lessons around the songs you want to play, your goals, and the time you realistically have to practice. You’ll always know what to work on and why it matters.

Getting Started

Your First Lesson is Just $40

Your first 30-minute lesson is a relaxed opportunity to meet, talk about what you’d like to play, and see how personalized lessons can help you move forward.

✓ Discuss your musical goals and experience
✓ Play together at your current level
✓ Leave with a clear, personalized learning plan

Questions About Lessons

Frequently Asked Questions

Am I too old to start learning guitar?

Not at all. I teach adults and seniors at many different experience levels. Lessons move at a comfortable pace and focus on the music you want to play.

Do I need any previous musical experience?

No previous experience is needed. We can begin with the basics, including holding and tuning the guitar, playing chords, developing rhythm, and reading guitar tablature. You don’t need to prepare anything before your first lesson.

What happens during the first lesson?

We’ll talk about your musical interests, experience, and goals. Then we’ll do some playing together to see where you’re starting. You’ll leave with clear next steps and a personalized learning plan. The first 30-minute lesson is $40.

How much time should I practice?

Consistency matters more than practicing for long periods. Many adults make progress by starting with 10–15 minutes several days a week. We’ll create a realistic practice plan that fits your schedule.
